26 Student Athletes Graduate
Twenty-six Alpena Community College student-athletes graduated this spring, celebrated at ACC's 70th annual commencement ceremony in Park Arena on May 16, 2024.
Paige Wooden and Daddy Hill were named the recipients of the 2024 Anna and Jesse Besser Awards. The Besser Awards are presented annually to a female and a male student who have made an outstanding contribution to the life of the College through scholarship, student leadership, and the expression of responsibility in the solution of social problems.
Paige served as a Resident Assistant for three years at College Park Apartments, was a student-athlete on the softball and women's basketball teams, was a member of the Athletic Leadership Council, and served as president of Phi Theta Kappa.
Daddy participated in Student Leadership Commission and the Athletic Leadership Council, served as a Resident Assistant at College Park Apartments, was a student-athlete on the cross country and men's basketball teams, and tutored other students.
