Softball Sweeps Siena Heights

ACC picked up a non-conference sweep against the Siena Heights University JV team, winning 5-4 and 5-3.

In the opener, Emilee Modrzejewski and Kenna Tippman had two hits apiece to lead the Lumberjacks. Taylor Krentz pitched a complete game for the win, striking out five and giving up only three earned runs in seven innings.

In game two, Jordan Ashley was the winning pitcher striking out eight in a seven inning complete game, giving up only five hits and no earned runs.

At the plate, Kirsten Neubecker led the way, going 3 for 3. Ashley had two hits. Modrzejewski and Tippman each had hits again in the nightcap. Claire Blust had hits in both games.

The Lumberjacks are now 3-8 on the young season and play this weekend in Sandusky, OH for a round robin event with all teams in the MCCAA Northern Conference.
