Participating in a tri at Bay College, ACC's volleyball team posted their first win of the young season.
The Lumberjacks opened play against Gogebic Community College, taking all three sets, 25-23, 25-14 and 15-4.
Later, ACC fell to the host Norse, despite winning the opening set, 27-25. Bay took the second set, 26-24 and the decisive third, 15-7.
Against Bay, Allie Urlaub led the Lumberjacks with 21 assists. Gracie Hart had six kills. Urlaub posted 14 digs and Carmen Dellar had 12.
ACC next plays hosting Bay College on Wed., Sept. 13 in both the Lumberjacks' home and league opener.
