Volleyball Finishes Season With Tough Losses
ACC took to the road this weekend against two of the toughest teams in the MCCAA Northern Conference and lost to Grand Rapids Community College, 25-9, 25-6, 25-19 on Friday and to Muskegon Community College, 25-7, 25-16, 25-17.
For the weekend, leading the defense were Sydney Hitzelberger with 22 digs and Olivia Precord who had 12 digs and five kills.
Lillian Adams had 10 digs, four kills and three blocks. Maddie Dipzinski contributed 23 assists. Claire Blust tallied 15 assists and seven digs.
Up front, Raquelle Miller led the way (10 kills, nine digs and four blocks) together with Kirsten Neubecker (10 kills, three blocks) and Brooklyn Latuszek (12 kills and two blocks).
ACC finishes the season (1-14 overall, 1-11 conference) while Grand Rapids finished the regular season undefeated in the league and 19-2 overall, while Muskegon was 8-4 conference and 16-12 overall.
Only three of the 12 Lumberjack players this season were sophomores, so they will return an experienced nucleus for next season.
